Dance Theory Resources

This page contains links to a number of guides I have written relating to Ballroom Dancing. The major guide is an attempt at explaining how to read dance scripts, either those scripts of sequence dances referred to on the links page, or those charts found in the ISTD theory books. This guide is incomplete, and likely to remain so for some time. (See also a brief history of the guides.)

The other guides are predominantly miscellaneous lists that I constructed along the way while trying to understand all the theory.

The study notes are miscellaneous lists thrown together while studying the theory books. Definitely not polished to the same standard as the above guides. They were often written with no clear purpose in mind, but hey, they may still be useful to someone.

Since most users are likely to want to print these documents they are provided in pdf format.
